I saw this recipe once and wanted to give it a try. I like to keep things simple so this is how I made them...
Ingredients:
- 2 cans of crescent rolls, 8 ct
- 4 oz crumbled feta cheese
- 4 oz shredded mozzarella cheese
- 3 oz fresh baby spinach (about half of a pre-washed bag), chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- dash salt and pepper
- Wash hands...you are gonna get hands on!
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees and spray a baking sheet with non-stick spray.
- Begin by chopping the spinach and putting it in a large mixing bowl. Add the feta, mozzarella, red pepper flakes and salt and pepper. Toss thoroughly and set bowl aside.
- Unroll the crescent dough and divide into triangles. Grab a big pinch and place tiny heaps of spinach mixture on the wide part of the dough triangle.
- Roll up from wide end to narrow end (as demonstrated here by my son)
- Place on a greased cookie sheet. Bake for approximately 15 minutes or until golden brown.
ENJOY!!!
